The George Inn ha been a free house since 1715. It is owned and run by landlord Michael Patten.

"Pleasant return to old hauntThis pub restaurant has been closed for a couple of years so it was a pleasant surprise to find that there was a good traditional English menu on offer, steak and ale pie, beer battered fish and super sized chips! Whitebait good too! Generous portions so no room for deserts! Friendly Landlord. There are Jazz evenings during the week. Well recommended! Only suggestion I would make, perhaps a more prominent notice to advertise that the premises is open."

"LovelyWent for a Sunday evening roast, big plate of really good dinner, well cooked & good quality meat, it's a lovely proper country pub with a log fire, it was very quiet but it was Sunday, the landlord made us very welcome & was very friendly, would definitely recommend."

"A Warm Welcome , good food and great live musicA lovely traditional English pub - On approaching the entrance the lovely aroma of an open fire greeted us and inside the bar there was the beautiful inglenook fireplace, a lovely fire burning and a chesterfield sofa to relax in.The traditional fish and chips was delicious served with lovely home made tartare sauce and a very generous piece of cod. The main reason for the visit was to listen to the live jazz. It was a lovely evening -fantastic musicians,vocalists and everyone was so friendly -l would highly recommend the Thursday evening music sessions to jazz lovers."

"Lovely friendly place, superb food.Recently moved into the area, and after eating in a number of venues, have yet to find a pub that turns out better food than the George Inn. Have eaten here a number of times now and have never been dissapointed. Whether you are eating or just in for a drink, Micheal the owner always makes you welcome. The place is full of charactor and we are pleased we found the place being as it is a little further afield coming from Canterbury, 1st class food and host, would recommend to anyone."
